How do i go about practicing some simple Javascript?

I have some really simple javascript.I am not sure how to go about testing it out.I have copied it onto my notebook.But i want to see if it works what do i have to do so i can see what i have done?

Have you saved it as a .js file? In order to test it, you'll need to create an .html file that implements the javascript. you can incorporate the javascript in the .html file or you can use the .js file like a .css file (referencing it externally).

once you have the javascript inside a .html file (one that has a <html><head></head><body></body></html> configuration), you just open the .html file in a browser. Usually, you just have to double click on the icon of the .html file and it will open in your default internet browser.

You don't even need any fancy editors. In fact my first web site, was done entirely out of notepad, html and javascript.

Go to start run and type notepad. Copy your code there and save it as html. Then double click it, it should open in your favorite browser, i.e. internet explorer.

Then you should be able to view your javascript at work.

If you have anything fancy on your javascrit then perhaps you should uploaded it to your hosting account.
